Magnetainment provides custom photo magnets to a variety of events. They help cover your event photography and party favors! When you book Magnetainment, a photographer takes pictures of the attendees, then they immediately edit and print those photos onto a magnet with a customized border to reflect your event. As a result, everyone can have a lasting, unique souvenir to remember the day! Additionally, they will give you digital access to the pictures to share with your guests.
Let’s learn a little more about Franchise Owner, Andrea de Leon when she isn’t helping clients make memories.
How did you enter into the industry?
I became a Magnetainment owner in November 2020. While that was in the midst of the pandemic, I saw it as a blessing in disguise! I didn't feel rushed to start my first business, and I was able to help build it off the ground. Becoming an owner for this photography/photo booth business, I was naturally entered into the hospitality industry. I work in franchising in my day job, so I spend many weekends at various events. I enjoy the event space, and would love to learn of any opportunities to get more involved!
What brought you to Nashville? If you are a native, what is your favorite hidden gem of the city?
I was born and raised in Nashville! Yep, I'm a unicorn. As the weather gets warmer, a couple hidden gems are Love Circle for a cute picnic spot, and Stardust Drive-In Movie Theather! The drive-in is in Watertown, TN, but it's worth the drive.
Where are we likely to find you on the weekends or when you aren't working?
When I'm not at a party making magnets, you can find me trying new restaurants around town or hanging out with some family friends!
Name 3 things you cannot live without.
1. COFFEE 2. My calendar (If I don't know what I'm doing in a given day, I don't know what to do with myself...Please share your recs for new workout classes!) 3. My red wagon (I use it to transport all of my Magnetainment equipment, but it's also a lifesaver for taking my groceries from my car to my house!)
What is the best advice you have received?
"Be nice to everyone, you'll never know when you need them - or what they've been through." My dad would tell me this growing up. While we simply need more kindness in the world, it's an important reminder to be nice whether you're having a bad day or not. I believe we're all in each other's lives for a reason, so maintaining an open mind and lifting each other up is so important.
What are you currently listening to? Podcast? Favorite song that motivates you?
I love so many genres - but the Workout playlist made by Spotify is a great pick-me-up! I will always vibe to some Khalid, though.
What would surprise us about yourself?
I've been skydiving, and I would most definitely do it again! I'd say I can be an adrenaline junkie - there are some things I'd probably sit out (like canyon jumping)
What are some career highlights and biggest career accomplishments?
I'm the first Magnetainment owner! It's a franchise for young entrepreneurs or photographers looking for something to add to their portfolio. I've loved building it up and showing people something different to add to any and every celebration.
